The Valve 601 Range is one of the Industry’s most successful and most widely used gate valve lubricant ranges. Valve 601 was designed to provide exceptional performance across the widest range of well operating conditions, processes and equipment applications. Valve 601 holds a large library of case study, field success testimonials and performance reports and is widely acknowledged across the Industry by Field Operators, Drilling Contractors, Well Intervention & Workover Companies. It is approved by several leading API 6A OEMs and holds the most approvals for any single product grade.

Cost effective performance

Valve 601’s hydrocarbon resistance gives it the ability to remain in the valve cavity and ensure operational protection to the valve’s critical internal components. By protecting the gate and seat, the sealing surfaces remain in good condition, and ensure the valve can deliver an integral ‘metal to metal’ seal when closed. The high performance lubricating ability of Valve 601 not only protects the interfacing seal surfaces, often moving relatively under high contact stress, but also lubrication of the non-rising stem thread on manually actuated valves. 

Valve 601 delivers operational cost savings across the following criteria: Reduced spend on replacement valve components or replacement valves, reduced downtime and NPT due to maintenance, reduced downtime during well procedures & intervention jobs, reduced spend on grease by remaining in the cavity and permitting increased re-lubrication intervals, thereby reducing spend on maintenance activity.

Enhanced sealing capability

Valve 601 performs effectively when there is some leakage across the valve, indicating damage to the seal surfaces. Field experience shows that in 65 – 75% of cases of leaking valves, Valve 601 helps operators achieve a zero leak-off rate.

Unbeatable cavity retention

The physical texture of Valve 601 is such that it delivers an effective blocking barrier, when compley filled in the valve cavity. This has been proven to be extremely beneficial in well testing operations where high sand production is often encountered. In frac operations, there is potential for ingress of proppant media during injection and sand during flow-back, which can cause major valve problems. Valve 601 has been field proven to remain in the valve cavity, reducing ingress of contaminants dramatically and delivering significant valve performance benefits.

RS Clare has accumulated vast levels of experience providing safe surfacing solutions in the marine industry and is now turning to the highly safety focussed O&G industry to share its expertise. Offshore rigs, platforms and FPSOs are wet, windy, muddy and oily environments causing slippery surfaces that are very hazardous for operators. On most areas of flat steel decking, all that is applied is anti-slip gritty paint, which needs annual maintenance and re-application.
However, Bimagrip can provide a life-of-asset replacement solution when applied in dry-dock or during initial build. Once surfaces are coated with this superior anti-skid system, the steel is fully encapsulated and protected from salt water corrosion and will never be degraded by hydrocarbon spillages.
