S95.3 變送器將熱電阻、基于熱電阻的傳感器、熱電偶或mV 信號轉換成獨立于負載的與傳感器特性相對應的電流信號。 由于緊湊型產品的設計，變送器可安裝在B 型（DIN 43 729） 中（2 區）接線盒中或比更大的接線盒中。S95.3 變送器采用HART 協議 V5.7 通訊協議，或手持式HART 通訊編程器對S95.3 變送器進行組態。

Either 2-, 3- or 4-wire sensors can be used. For 2-wire sensors an automatic
balancing of the sensor cable resistance is possible with shorted sensor
cable. The cable resistance can be manually configured as well.
Using a PC, the Windows-based Flex-program and a FlexProgrammer
configuring unit, the following parameters can be configured via the output
connectors （2-way communication）: TAG no., number of wires, cable resistance,
error detection level, measuring range/unit, damping, offset and status
indication.
The Flex-program has a datalogging facility enabling the user to monitor
measuring results or calibrate the measuring setup.
